Lagniappe Two, September 11, 2002

In New Orleans, the word "Lagniappe" (pronounced LAN-IAPE) mean "a little something extra." I will be adding a little bit of Lagniappe to the website every few months. The photographs will likely be from a small project I am currently working on, or perhaps something from the past that I wanted to share for the first time.

This second installment of Lagniappe, "Wave That Flag," marks the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks on September 11th, 2001. In the days and weeks following the attacks, there was a resurgence of patriotism throughout the country. I had just bought a new digital camera and began documenting how people, most ly in my neighborhood, chose to fly old glory. Enjoy, and remember to think peace....
